Biography

Hi, everyone!! My name is Elena Álvarez and I'm originally from Madrid, Spain. I got my B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Alcalá, where I also completed my PhD under the supervision of Prf. Alberto Hernán-Gómez and Cristina Santamaría. As a graduate student, I worked on the synthesis of early transition metals complexes supported by redox-active ligands for small molecule activation. Outside of chemistry, I am very passionate about nature, traveling and exploring new things.
